James Peek

Corroboree has been fortunate to have many dedicated administrators over the years, but one person stands out for his ability to turn ideas into action and improve the club’s operations on a daily basis: James Peek.

David Boshier
Inducted: 2025
David’s journey with Corroboree Athletics began in the 2013-14 season when he joined as a proud dad, supporting his son Angus in the U10s and Ana a year later. David quickly became an integral part of the club, joining the Committee at the end of his first season. By the 2014-15 season, he had stepped into a coaching role as an assistant and has remained a cornerstone of the coaching team ever since, becoming coach coordinator in 2023-24 after the passing of John Hunt.

Garry Stevens
Inducted: 2023
Garry first appeared at Corroboree in 2014, when Jasmine started as an U6; and Lachlan starting 2 years later. Garry quickly got involved as an AGC and then joining the committee for the 2017-18 season, as Secretary and Equipment Officer, the latter role which he also filled for Little Athletics ACT.

Chris Bacchus
Inducted: 2020
Chris has been a long-standing member of our club and committee. He first joined the Club at the start of the 2008-09 season, when his older son Sullivan (Sully as he was better known) commenced Little Athletics in U6s.

Joyce Boyson MBE and Eric Boyson MBE
Inducted: 2020
In October 1970, Eric and Joyce Boyson brought Little Athletics to Canberra and started the first club in the ACT, based it out of Corroboree Park in Ainslie and called it Corroboree Little Athletics.

Ruud van Scheppingen and Ingrid Takken
Inducted: 2019
Ruud and Ingrid and their two children Lizanne (U9) and Mischa (U6) joined Corroboree at the commencement of the 2010-11 season and immediately became actively involved and embraced all that was special about Corroboree.

Andrew Sutton
Inducted: 2018
Andrew came to Corroboree Little Athletics in 2006, when his oldest daughter, Skye, started as an U6 athlete. Right from the start, Andrew became an active and passionate volunteer for the Club, taking on the role of Age group coordinator for the U6 girls.

John Hunt
Inducted: 2013
John became involved in the ACT Little Athletics in 1984, joining the Association’s Board in its formative years when it split from the Monaro Zone.
