Sharon Moloney is Corroboree’s ultimate “culture-setter”—the person whose presence puts everyone at ease and whose work ethic keeps the club’s gears turning. Her journey began in 2016-17 when her daughter, Maeve, started in the U6s. This season marks a decade of unwavering commitment: 10 consecutive years as an Age Group Coordinator and five years as a vital member of the Club Committee.

Over the last two seasons, Sharon has been the heart of the Saturday Squad. When the Committee introduced the program for senior athletes to mentor our Tiny Tots and U6-U7s, Sharon stepped up to shape it into a resounding success. She collated the resources, prepared weekly programs, and managed rosters with precision. Under her leadership, these senior athletes exceeded all expectations, earning the Corroboree Spirit Award in 2024-25 and ensuring our youngest members found Fun and Belonging from day one.

Sharon’s commitment to Growth is best seen in her 10-year tenure as an Age Group Coordinator. Following her cohort from the U6s through to the U14-15 girls this season, she has become a foundational mentor to a generation of young female athletes. Many of our current junior leaders grew up under her guidance in an environment defined by Respect, ensuring they remained connected to the sport long after their early years.

If you look for Sharon on a Saturday morning, she is among the first to arrive and the last to leave. Driven by Determination, she handles the essential “small jobs” that often go unseen—from washing AGC vests and towels to personally setting out the track ropes at dawn. She is “super dependable,” providing the welcoming vibe that helps every new family feel they belong at Corroboree.

This dedication is mirrored in her daughter, Maeve, a former Club Vice Captain whose own service reflects Sharon’s influence. Sharon doesn’t just see what needs to be done; she builds the systems to make it happen. She has shaped the culture of this club through ten years of mentorship and five years of administrative excellence.
