Corroboree Little Atheletics

Another meet, another four centre records

7 December 2021

In perfect conditions last week, we had four Corroboree records fall, three of them in hurdles events.

Joshua Lobo continues his amazing performances with another two titles to add to his belt.

In the 100m, Josh ran the fastest ever 100m time seen in the 50 plus year history of the club in ANY age group.

He ran 11.48s smashing the old mark of Neil Donlan‘s set in 1993 of 11.8s. Neil used to hold the fastest time in the club set as an U15 of 11.50s.

He also backed that up in the 200m Hurdles where he ran 27.62s, taking a second off Jules Bacchus‘s mark (28.60s) set at the ACT Championships three years ago.

In the U11 Female 80m Hurdles, Lily Martin stormed home in 14.36s, smashing the old record held by Lulu Marcelo of 15.79. this record has only been in play for about four seasons but that new mark will be tough to beat.

Not to be outdone Lulu Marcelo set her own record in the U12 Female 80m Hurdles, setting a time of 16.24s, breaking Edith McKerracher‘s record set last season of 16.53s.

Congratulations to all four athletes on these amazing performances.
