What a fantastic weekend at the 2026 Capital Athletics Underage Championships!

Across three big days of competition, our Corroboree athletes put in an incredible showing — with so many personal bests, breakthrough performances, and courageous efforts right across the U9–U18 age groups. It was brilliant to see the blue and gold so strongly represented across track and field.

Beyond the medals and placings, we are incredibly proud of every single athlete who stepped onto the track or into the field circle. Championships racing takes courage, focus and resilience — and our athletes delivered in spades.

The performances were also outstanding with so many PBs broken across the board. There was also an amazing 10 records broken and two new records set across the weekend. That’s an outstanding achievement and a reflection of the hard work being put in at training week after week.

A huge thank you to all the parents who helped across the weekend — from getting athletes to marshalling on time, to cheering from the stands, to assisting with duties. Community effort makes these championships possible.

Special thanks to David Boshier and James Peek who were out there officiating and a very big thank you to Bec Jackson for running the Corroboree tent and keeping everyone organised, informed and calm across the weekend, you all did an amazing job.
