The Adults program has been running for three seasons now and has proven to be a great success. The kids love seeing Mum and Dad competing at the end of our meets and assist with timing, raking pits and results recording. This year we had two events at the end of every meet and tried to include a longer running event at the start of each meet to maximise their experience.

Capital Athletics introduced a Social Membership this year which is way cheaper than the usual membership so next season, unless you are planning on participating in the Capital Athletics program, make sure you choose that option for your membership.

At the end of the season we run a Tetrathlon (consisting of 100m, Discus, Long Jump and 800m) where we have overall male and female winners as well as an age adjusted pointscore. We had a record turnout of 11 athletes competing for the titles with nine men and two women. We’d love to see more Mums come out and join in the fun.

There were about another 7 or 8 adults who competed throughout the season as well and it has evolved into a fun little community to be a part of.
