Following the conclusion of Sunday’s AGM and Presentations, we as a Committee and Club have come to the realisation that we owe Ingrid Takken a huge apology for not appropriately and publicly recognising the end of her tenure as President and on the Executive. That is both unfair and regrettable and for that we are sorry.

Ingrid’s dedication and commitment to Corroboree has been outstanding over the past six years (four as Vice-President and two as President) and the Club has continued to thrive under her leadership over that period. Speaking personally, I know Ingrid took on the roles with some misgiving and with a lack of confidence, but she should be extremely proud with how she took on the positions and further built our Club’s strong reputation.

Whilst we don’t take on roles such as Vice President and President for the recognition Ingrid is due plenty and it should have been given publicly on Sunday. We again apologise to Ingrid for this oversight and we look forward to the opportunity to make up for this at the start of the next season. We again thank you again for your sterling work and dedication as President and Vice-President over the past six years and look forward to having you on the Committee for a few more years yet.
