Four records broken
25 January 2022
Four more Corroboree records were set last weekend.
Misha Van Scheppingen (U17 male) had a very successful meet breaking two records in the same meet.
In the Triple Jump he broke the old record of Thomas Madison of 11.73m set in 2010 by jumping 11.91m
He also broke Ethan Laver’s 100m Hurdles record of 14.69s by running 14.31s.
Lulu Marcelo (U12 female) broke her existing 80m Hurdles record set earlier this season of 16.24s by running 16.15s.
We had two boys break the old 750g Discus record of 23.26m (set by Otis Jeong-Reuss in 2020) in the U13 male group but it was Brayden Worth who threw the furthest with 26.02m. Luke Peek also threw better than the old record.
Congratulations to all four athletes for setting new benchmarks at Corroboree.
